Intentional school counseling

Graduate Student at IWU in the Department of School Counseling

A little bit about me…

I am a recent April 2024 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, where I earned a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. During my time at IWU, I also completed the additional coursework for the dual track in clinical mental health counseling to eventually earn an LPC-MHSP license once I have completed my internship hours with Austin Peay State University. I am a solution-focused, child-centered school counselor who utilizes a variety of approaches and techniques that best fit the student and the situation. I am blessed to have attended a program that allowed me to explore the appropriate integration of faith in different settings. I feel confident utilizing that knowledge in any space, as God’s love and grace guide me in everything I do. I am comfortable working with all age levels and have five years of experience coaching, programming for, and leading kids, preteens, and teens in CrossFit programs. I am working to complete the Brand X Method Professional Youth Coaching Certification while finishing up the required clinical internship hours for licensure, and I plan to incorporate movement into the therapeutic space. My future endeavors will focus on crisis and trauma-informed counseling education to prepare me to help the children I am blessed to work with.
